A Beautiful New Home for Jyoraku Matcha
Share
This weekend, I’m thrilled to share that Jyoraku Matcha now has a retail home at KOBO at Higo, a thoughtfully curated artisan gallery in Seattle’s historic Japantown. For over 20 years, my family sold premium Japanese tea, and this particular ceremonial matcha blend is one I’ve carefully carried forward.
On Saturday, (tomorrow - this was a last minute invite!!) I’ll be doing a free tasting between 12PM–4PM at KOBO (International District location), offering sips of Jyoraku and pairing it with a seasonal wagashi: Sakura Mochi from the beloved Modern Bakery, known for its handmade Japanese pastries and sushi.
KOBO—meaning “artist’s workspace”—has long been a hub of thoughtful, handmade goods. It's a gallery that holds history, beauty, and community, and I feel incredibly honored to place my matcha in their space.
So if you’re around, come by! Taste some matcha, say hello, and maybe leave with something lovely—whether it’s tea, art, or just a moment of peace 🌿
