A Café That Made Me Cry (In the Best Way) | Vinyl Jeju 🎧🍵

I think I found my favorite café in the universe.
And yes, I got a little emotional about it.
During my recent visit to Jeju, South Korea, I was in a particularly reflective season of life. Exploring where I’ve come from, where I’m going, and what I might want to create next.
A sweet friend took me to a café, and man did I enjoy: @monthlyrecords_jeju
Y’all. I was not prepared.
Imagine browsing through old and new vinyl records, choosing something that speaks to you, slipping on headphones, and settling into your own little world.
Add a beautiful Basque cheesecake, a Jeju-grown matcha latte, a shaken iced espresso, and wonderful company.
I could have stayed there all day.
The Art of Creating a Feeling
What struck me wasn’t any single detail.
It was how beautifully everything came together.
Music wasn’t just background noise. It was something you were invited to experience.
The drinks and desserts weren’t simply refreshments. They became part of the afternoon’s rhythm.
And the atmosphere made doing absolutely nothing feel like doing something wonderfully important.
At one point, I found myself tearing up.
Maybe it was everything I had been processing during my travels. Maybe it was the kindness of my friend. Or maybe it was simply the rare feeling of being somewhere that seemed to understand exactly what I find beautiful.

A Little Inspiration for Flowering Waters
I’ve spent much of my life around tea, and lately I’ve been thinking about how I want to share it with the world.
Experiences like this remind me that hospitality is an art form.
It’s not only about serving an excellent beverage.
It’s about creating a space where someone can feel inspired, welcomed, peaceful, or even a little emotional.

A place where people want to linger.
Where the small details matter.
Where life feels beautiful without needing to be extravagant.
That’s something I’d love to bring into whatever comes next for Flowering Waters.
For now, I’m just grateful to have experienced it.
And to the sweet friend who somehow knew this café would speak directly to my soul: thank you.
Vinyl Jeju, you have my heart. 🤍
If you’re visiting Jeju, go listen to some records, enjoy something delicious, and give yourself permission to stay awhile.

Love you tea babes xo,
Flowering Waters
