A Classic Jyoraku Matcha with One of My Tea Mentors

A Classic Jyoraku Matcha with One of My Tea Mentors

Today’s tea time was a precious one — a simple bowl of Jyoraku Matcha, prepared the traditional way with about 2g of matcha and 1/4 cup of water, shared with one of my favorite tea ceremony mentors.

There’s something timeless about making tea with someone whose life holds stories, patience, and practiced wisdom. The whisking becomes slower. The silence becomes fuller. Even the steam seems to share its own teachings.

Tea has always been a space for conversation, connection, and grounding — especially with elders who remind us that presence itself is a form of wisdom.

May you find time for your own moments of stillness, companionship, and tea.
Because sometimes, the smallest rituals are the ones that change us the most. 🍵✨
