A Matcha Latte Worth Sharing
Share
One of the latest editing trends makes it look like a matcha latte appears with the snap of a finger.
It's charming.
I wish it worked that way in real life.
The truth is, one of my favorite parts of making matcha is that it takes a little intention.
You
。。。sift.
。。。whisk
。。。pour
。。。 slow down.
Maybe that's why sharing it feels so meaningful.
My Everyday Matcha Latte
The recipe couldn't be simpler.
❤︎🍃 2 heaping teaspoons Jyoraku Matcha
❤︎💧 2 ounces (¼ cup) water at approximately 175°F (80°C)
❤︎🍯 1–2 teaspoons agave or maple syrup
❤︎🥛 ⅓ cup milk of your choice
Whisk the matcha and hot water until silky and frothy. Stir in the sweetener, pour over your milk, and enjoy.
Simple ingredients.
Exceptional matcha.
A few quiet moments.
For me, tea has never simply been a beverage. It's one of the ways I show people I care.
Whether I'm making a latte for my parents, sharing one with a friend, or introducing someone to ceremonial matcha for the very first time, every cup feels like a small act of hospitality.
Japanese tea culture teaches us that preparing tea is an offering. ❤︎
It doesn't have to happen in a formal tea room.
Sometimes that offering happens in your own kitchen.
Sometimes it's poured into a favorite glass.
Sometimes it magically "appears" thanks to a fun edit.
But behind every cup is the same intention:
To nourish.
To connect.
To slow down together.
If this video inspires you to make a matcha latte this week, I hope you'll make two.
One for yourself.
And one for someone you love.
