A Sacred Tea Moment (And a Gentle Chasen Reminder)
Share
Today’s tea moment was simple — and sacred.
I prepared a bowl of Jyoraku using just a heaping teaspoon of ceremonial-grade matcha and about a quarter cup of water warmed to 165–175°F. No rush. No excess.
A gentle reminder from one tea lover to another:
you don’t need to bloom your chasen every time you use it. A quick rinse to wake it up is perfectly sufficient. Just remember to rinse it again after whisking to keep it clean and long-lasting.
Matcha is having a moment right now — often dressed up as a princess latte. But long before trends, this thousand-year-old elixir quietly supported clarity, calm, and sustained energy.
Keeping it simple is cool too.
I hope Jyoraku has a chance to renew your energy in whatever season you’re in.
Love you, tea babes xo
