Everything Is Going to Be Fine

Everything Is Going to Be Fine

There are seasons of life when everything feels beautifully aligned.

And then there are seasons when life asks a little more of us.

Lately, it's been a bit of the second.

Even so, this weekend offered one of those quiet reminders that joy is often closer than we think.

A blanket outside.

Sunflowers standing tall in the summer light.

A bowl of Jyoraku Matcha.

Beautiful wagashi that dear friends thoughtfully brought back from Japan.

And homemade biscotti that, to my surprise, paired wonderfully with matcha.

Most importantly, there was laughter.

The kind that sneaks up on you.

The kind that reminds you your heart still knows how to feel light.

Tea has always been more than something to drink.

It creates space.

Space to breathe.

Space to listen.

Space to reconnect with the people sitting across from us.

Sometimes we wait for life to become less complicated before allowing ourselves to experience joy.

Tea gently teaches the opposite.

Joy can exist right in the middle of uncertainty.

Perhaps that's one of the greatest gifts of gathering around a bowl of tea.

It reminds us to notice what is still good.

The warmth of the sun.

The kindness of friends.

The sweetness of a shared treat.

The sound of laughter carried by the wind.

If your summer has been joyful, I hope it continues to surprise you with beautiful moments.

And if it has been difficult, I hope you know that there is still beauty waiting to be noticed.

Today, I'm choosing to believe these words:

Everything is going to be fine.

Until then, I'll keep making tea, sharing it with the people I love, and trusting that each small moment of peace has a way of carrying us forward.

Thank you for being part of this little Flowering Waters community.

I'm so grateful you're here.
