Following the 縁: Maybe It’s Time to Pop Up 🍵
Share

Sometimes a new direction doesn't arrive through a business plan.
Sometimes you're standing at your childhood friend's wedding, whisking matcha and making princess lattes, talking story with people you've just met, when you suddenly think:
Wait. I really love doing this.

At the end of summer, I had the privilege of serving some of my finest tea at one of my best childhood friend's wedding celebrations.
And it was so much fun.
The matcha was beautiful, of course. But what stayed with me most were the people.
Serving. Talking story. Watching someone take that first sip. Making something beautiful for another person and handing it across the table.
A special little detail from the day: I was fortunate to use an artisanal lavender syrup from @seattlefreezeshaveice in the princess lattes. The soft floral sweetness paired beautifully with Jyoraku Matcha—and made serving something locally crafted by another small business feel even more special.
ご縁に感謝 — grateful for the connections. 💜🍵

This whole pop-up experience reminded me why I started doing this in the first place.
There's a beautiful Japanese word, 縁 (en), that speaks to the connections and circumstances that bring people into our lives.
So maybe it's time to follow the 縁.
I'm beginning to reimagine what Flowering Waters could look like—with more pop-ups, private tea experiences, weddings, collaborations, and little opportunities to bring the tea directly to you.

Nothing too official yet.
I'm just putting this little idea into the universe and seeing where it flows.
Would you come visit me at a Flowering Waters pop-up?
Or maybe you have a café, shop, wedding, gathering, or beautiful little corner where you'd like me to bring the tea?
DM or email me. Let's talk story. 🍵

For now, I'm following the connections, staying curious, and seeing where this next cup takes me.
ご縁に感謝。
Grateful for every connection that has brought Flowering Waters this far—and very curious about the ones still ahead. 💚🕊️✨
Love you tea babes xo,
