Gratitude, Practiced One Bowl at a Time
Share
My matcha ritual is deeply rooted in Urasenke Japanese tea ceremony, a tradition my mother has studied and lived for over 20 years. Through her, I learned that tea is not about performance—it’s about presence.
In the way of tea, gratitude is woven into every step:
the cleaning of the tools,
the careful whisking,
the quiet pause before the first sip.
Jyoraku Usucha was created to honor this philosophy. It’s a matcha meant for ceremony, reflection, and everyday reverence—locally used and cherished within the tea community.
When we practice gratitude through tea, we don’t just drink—we remember.
And that remembrance is healing.
