Komorebi: A Mother’s Day Tea Experience

Komorebi: A Mother’s Day Tea Experience

There are moments that ask us to slow down.

Komorebi is one of them.

Meaning “sunlight filtering through the trees,” Komorebi reflects a kind of beauty that is gentle, fleeting, and deeply felt.

This Mother’s Day, Flowering Waters invites you into an intimate Japanese-style afternoon tea experience, hosted at @thekitchenseattle alongside Chef Toru Masai.

📅 Sunday, May 10

Inspired by the quiet exclusivity of traditional tea ceremony, this gathering is designed to feel personal — where each guest is part of a shared, intentional moment.

Guests will be guided through a curated tasting of four Japanese teas, paired with delicately prepared sweet and savory offerings. Each ingredient is locally sourced, each detail thoughtfully considered.

Two seatings will be offered at 1PM and 3PM, with limited availability to preserve the intimacy of the experience.

$90 per guest, gratuity included, with a small gift to take home.

This is not simply an afternoon tea.

It is a pause.
A gesture.
A quiet way to honor the women who shape our lives.

Reservations are now open.
