Matcha + Cookies = A Cozy Tea Ritual

Matcha + Cookies = A Cozy Tea Ritual

Today’s tea time was as unfussy as it gets—an all-American chocolate chip cookie paired with Jyoraku matcha.

No styling, no ceremony. Just a pause in the day.

My Everyday Matcha Method:

I use one heaping chashaku (about 1.5–2g) of Jyoraku matcha, add about a quarter cup of water heated to 160–175°F, whisk for 10–15 seconds, and sip slowly.

Traditionally, sweets are enjoyed before tea—but rituals are personal. Whether you follow tradition or make your own rhythm, the most important part is presence.

If you’re new to matcha or curious about brewing, feel free to reach out—I’m always happy to share.
