May Opens: “Friends and Leaves, the More the Better”
Share
There’s something quietly beautiful about May.
It doesn’t arrive loudly—just softly, with more green, more light, and if we’re lucky, more people to sit beside.
This month, I’m welcoming the season with a saying from Clifton Karhu’s woodblock calendar:
“Friends and leaves, the more the better.”
It feels true for tea, too. The more we brew, the more there is to share. The more sips, the deeper the pause.
Wishing you a gentle start to this new month—filled with new leaves, familiar friends, and all the small moments that matter.
