Sakura Matsuri: A Sweet Preview

Sakura Matsuri is just around the corner.

This weekend at Seattle Center, Flowering Waters and Tokaragashi will be offering a traditional pairing of Japanese green tea and wagashi.

Later tonight, we’ll be sharing the full menu of seasonal wagashi and our exclusive festival offerings.

As a small preview:

One of the featured sweets will be ohagi (botamochi) — a traditional confection made from glutinous rice and sweet red bean paste.

For Sakura Matsuri, each piece will be finished with a delicate salted sakura.

A quiet nod to the season.
