Sencha for Two: A Simple Guide to Brewing Beautifully
Share
There’s a quiet beauty in preparing tea for someone you care about. In my latest video, I brewed deep-steamed sencha (fukamushi) for a friend, showing just how easy it is to make loose-leaf tea part of your daily life.
Here’s the magic formula:
🌿 Temperature: 158–178°F (70–80°C)
🌿 Time: 30–60 seconds
🌿 Rebrew: 4–5 delicious infusions
🌿 Bonus: Pour evenly between cups—this ensures both guests get the same temperature and flavor.
And if you don’t have a thermometer? No stress. My go-to ¼ method is super simple:
→ ¼ room temp water + ¾ boiling = sencha-perfect.
Loose-leaf tea doesn’t ask for perfection—just presence. Try it, share it, and see how beautiful the moment becomes 🌱🍵
