Today’s tea time is all about elegance in simplicity.
I’m sipping 2g of Jyoraku Matcha—my go-to for straight matcha moments—with just a little over a quarter cup of soft water to let the flavor sing.
The sweet companion? A delicate yokan, a traditional Japanese sweet made from red bean paste, gifted by my friends at @KoboSeattleShop.
There’s something so grounding about pairing a deep, grassy matcha with the smooth, sweet bite of yokan.
It reminds me that when you choose high-quality ingredients (and friends who know your soul), even the simplest tea break becomes a small celebration.
