The Last Drop
Share
A beautiful day starts with a beautiful mindset.
Sometimes that begins with something small.
Pouring tea.
Waiting just a moment longer.
Letting the final drops fall.
In kuki-matcha preparation, those last drops matter.
They carry depth.
Concentration.
The fullest expression of the tea.
To rush past them is to miss something subtle, but meaningful.
And life often works the same way.
We move quickly.
We look ahead.
We try to get to the next thing.
But there is something to be found in staying just a moment longer.
In being present with what is already here.
There is a Japanese phrase:
一期一会 (Ichigo Ichie)
One time, one meeting.
This moment will not come again.
So be here for it.
Allow things to unfold fully.
Let the experience deepen.
And remember:
You have the ability to shape your days —
not through force,
but through awareness.
Sometimes, it starts with something as simple as tea.
